I don't understand why some people claim that this is heavy or too complicated. If you are trying to find an excuse to not keep it... ok. The heavy part is the block thingy in the power cable. I always keep that on a flat surface, the straighter itself isn't heavy at all. I found super simple and easy to understand. This will definitely straight your hair, but it won't leave your hair flat with no life. It looks natural. It doesn't pull your hair when you are straightening. In fact, I think it's easier on the hair than the airwrap ( if you use the blow dry brush) to smooth hair. This is one of my favorite dysons hair product! The only downside to me is, it takes longer to style your hair, because you have to get small pieces to straightening.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Dyson Airstrait tool is life changing . I am so thankful that Dyson Hair gifted me this product because my hair routine will never be the same. Having one product that you can use wet to dry saves so much time. Time that we can use for something else than our hair! I've used tit two times and I'm still getting used to it. But so far it's amazing. My hair is done wet to dry in less than 15 minutes and I have a great blow out. It is on the pricy side but it is worth it since there are no hot plates and you have efficiency on your side. I would definitely recommend this product.

I'm keeping this because it works better than the air styler, but it does set off my smoke detector ever use. I have to use the highest heat setting on wet hair for my type of curl texture and density but it smokes with ZERO product in my hair every time I use it. I have all windows open and a purifier running but it still looks like wildfires were set in the room with the amount of smoke that sits in the air. It's odd, because it doesn't smell like burning and it actually took me by surprise the first time, I didn't notice until I started coughing. The tool works really well on my 2c dense hair because mine needs tension - something the airwrap lacked. I won't be returning this one.

I love this tool, makes my hair super straight and makes the hair so shiny! Important to say that I have a hair that is super easy to style and straight/lightly wavy, I don't think it would work for super thick hair, at least would give a blowout look instead of a flat iron look like it does to me. Also, I saw some people over the internet saying it's not too heavy or it doesn't get too hot, the machine itself is not too heavy when you hold it but it does get tiring doing your hair, it's quite big so I don't think I would travel with it (it was my excuse to buy, so I would not take the airwrap but this is even bigger), it gets super hot, I use on low or medium setting, but not that big deal since you can change the temperature and air flow. Feels very expensive (I know it is) but the technology envolves is super cool, also the blue color is absolutely perfect! It's not something anyone need but if you can splurge I totally recommend it!

I have natural frizzy, tight curl hair. I get Brazilian blowouts at least three times a year. My job is very fast paced, and demanding. I do not have time to straighten my hair daily, which can take up to an hour by the time I blow dry it, and then flat iron. this product helps me do both in 20 minutes. unbelievable it is worth every penny.

This hair dryer is sorcery! Just a few passes per strand on the highest heat setting, and highest airflow and my hair is perfectly straight like I have previously dried it and then have taken my flat iron to it after. I am impressed. I will say I don't think it sped up the drying time, but it did get it straighter then me drying my hair with the Dyson Airwrap and then flat ironing it. The Airstrait cut out the need to flat iron my hair! But it's totally worth it for me because it does end up saving me time in the long run because I can cut out a step. I usually curl my hair after I flat iron but now I can go straight to it after drying. It is of course expensive but it is totally worth it. It might even replace my Airwrap. I have somewhere between curly and wavy hair and it did a great job straightening it. There was basically no frizz, and other than my shampoo and conditioner I didn't add anything else to it before I dried it. Dyson has the best hair tools. It does have a hefty price tag but it's worth it!

Works best in combo with the Dyson Hairdryer for thick hair - dry to semi damp then use airstrait on wet setting- straightens hair nice and smooth for wavy hair - best to section off but you don't have to do many sections. The cool setting is nice to finish off. It is nice to not have to use traditional flat iron daily - hair feels softer and not as dry since using air and not heat. Great tool for a qucik touch up later in the day especially when getting caught in the rain. Good investment -

This worked great for me and I was recommending it, but no longer. After a tumble to the floor, it no longer works or turns on. More fragile than an iPhone. Look Dyson, you have to think about durability for hardware. Ridiculous how fragile this turned out to be. Probably won't bother with anything Dyson going forward.

I own a few Dyson Products, Love my Dyson Air Wrap, so this was defiantly something I Wanted to buy and try. Works wonderful, dries hair quick and it's so easy to use. My only complaint is, why did this not come with a case? Especially for the price I paid. My Air Wrap came with a case, the straighten has a case and so do the hair dryers. So pretty disappointed that I have to buy my own storage case to protect it.
