I tried to give this a fair chance, even though I was skeptical. In the last few weeks that I have used this new formula, my breakouts have returned. I do not find it to be nearly as soothing as the old formula. I miss the old gel formula; this is just not a gel, as many others have stated. Has it been an awful experience for me? No. However, the mediocrity of it does not justify the cost for me. I was willing to pay top dollar for something that worked well for me, and this just doesn't anymore. It is suspicious to me that they chose to reformulate this moisturizer, but did not create a new product on the website, so most of the 5-star reviews for this product are based on the original formula.

This was the perfect cream for my sensitive skin and now I have to find another one because this just irritated my skin. It was perfect because i use other Biossance products and don't like combining with other different product but they leave me no choice to find something else just like this one.

new formula is NOT IMPROVED or better infact its the opposite- so horrible! So gloopy, runny & GREASY. old formula would dry down and leave a clean almost sticky cast...I loved that. This formula is so GREASY & runny. It's NOT better !!! I AM NOT HAPPY. Please change back to old formula

I've been a customer of this Probiotic Gel Cream for almost 4 years now and ever since they reformulated the cream, it's completely broken out my skin. This has never happened to me before and I really hope they bring the old formula back. Until then, I've made the switch to Tatcha's Water cream which seems to be helping out my skin.

The new formula for the "gel" moisturizer just isn't it. It isn't even a gel moisturizer anymore so why not just make an entirely new product at that point? The reformulation feels heavier, greasier, and overall poorer quality on the skin. When I was using the old version this moisturizer I constantly got compliments on how soft, dewy, and clear my skin looked. Now I am back to breaking out and struggling with combination skin. The other reviews speak to most people having the exact same experience and issues. I love Biossance as a company so so so much, but please consider reversing this decision.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a long time Probiotic Gel user, I honestly hesitated to try the new formula when my old ones ran out. I even started sourcing a new daily moisturiser from other brands (none of the ones I tried worked for me). So I finally gave in and purchased the new formula. Andddd...it's actually pretty good. I find that it works really well to keep my oily skin calm and clear. I see a reduction in texture and those stubborn closed comedones. I dare to say that it appears to be more effective than the original, which I was not at all expecting based on the reviews! The only two issues I have are 1) The finish is different. I miss the nice dewy finish that the original provided and 2)It's not a gel,more like a liquid and may be better suited in a bottle rather than a jar. Other than that, I actually like this formula. Thumbs up!

This new formula is awful. It is no longer a gel cream but one that feels greasy and sits on on the face. In fact, I have discovered it is the source of my acne breakouts. Everytime I use this cream it bring on pimples or small ones that are already there. The texture of this cream is no longer formulated for oily and combination skin. Biossance will have to come out with a new water cream or gel cream that actually works for oily and combination skin. The texture of this actually reminds me a lot of the rose c face cream which I was not a fan of. If you like that then you might actually be fine with the new formulation, but if you are one that has acne prone skin then this will not be for you. I am very disappointed as the original product is the reason I converted to all Biossance products and now I have to find a new clean gel cream which is very difficult to find.

Love this moisturizer. Super light and great under makeup. Makes my rosacea fade and keeps my skin looking even. Can't say enough good things. Will rebuy this one if I can ever get through that awful smelling repair cream that I made the mistake of buying. Buy the gel moisturizer!!
