I'm 51 and have been wearing this since it first came out. It's my HG foundation. Skin tone is too dark for light and too light for medium. My shades have changed a bit over time as I get older, and I've worn Sandy Beige for a long time, though it was a bit too ashy for me. Enter Chestnut. It's the shade I've prayed for! Finally I have the PERFECT shade! I've had in on since this morning and it hasn't oxidezed into some weird orange or pink shade. Finally my face isn't just a shade lighter than my sun damaged chest. It's 100% perfect. Thanks Revlon!

I've been wearing this foundation for almost ten years & haven't found any that come close. Texture is great & coverage is perfect. The original reason I bought this foundation was because it was the only affordable one I could find that came close to matching my fair skin. With the new formula, I've found that it no longer matches well. I've always used shade 110 ivory in the combination/oily formula, but now it appears more tan or warm toned than it used to be, which is a bit disappointing. I'm not sure if the difference can be picked up on camera, but in person the difference is fairly clear (I've added a photo as reference). Wish they'd correct the color so that it matched my cooler skin tone a bit better again. I guess it's okay to look a bit tanned now and then, but it took me years to embrace my pale skin, and this foundation helped with that in the past.

I've been using this foundation a lot, and overall I really like how it performs for combination/oily skin. It gives medium to full, buildable coverage that evens out my skin tone and hides imperfections without feeling too heavy. Many users report that it helps control shine and doesn't break apart in oily areas throughout the day, making it great for longer wear.

This foundation provides good, full coverage. 'Ivory' is lighter than other companies Ivory #hard to find, as my skin is really fair#. It stays put all day, but doesn't feel heavy. It doesn't settle into pores if set properly with powder after. I find that I can use it as both my foundation and a concelear. Only complaint is that it dries quickly, so you have to apply it fast, and you have to wash well to get it all off.

Revlon ColorStay Makeup for Combination/Oily Skin with SPF 15 for a few weeks now, and overall I'm really impressed. The foundation provides excellent all-day coverage without feeling heavy or cakey. It balances out my combination skin well — it controls shine in my T-zone while keeping dry areas from looking flaky. The medium to full coverage effectively conceals redness and blemishes, but it still looks natural. The matte finish stays in place throughout the day, even through long hours and heat, and the built-in SPF 15 is a nice bonus for daily wear. Application is smooth whether I use a brush, sponge, or my fingers, and it blends easily without streaking. I did notice that it can feel slightly dry if I skip moisturizer first, so I recommend prepping skin well.

So sad to find the formula change....after using for years, went to get more and noticed the label change and didn't think much of it. Then upon first use noticed the consistency was different and color was off, so went and purchased another bottle hoping maybe it was just a bad batch. It wasn't. As I continued to use it, my face started to break out so I went to my esthetician as nothing in my skin care regime had changed. Took some digging but finally figured out it was the new formula. Revlon added a lovely ingredient called Isopropyl Palmitate which is 100% pore clogging. After being a faithful user of this for years it makes me sad that I have to now start over and find a different foundation that is free from pore clogging ingredients, which is a MUCH HARDER thing to do then you would think.

Formula is different than older version. Old one vas thick with good coverage, an this one is like water. Shades are not the same, less coverage. This was my favorite foundation, but I am disappointed with new formula. For this price it should be better.

Let me just start by saying that I used the old formula of Colorstay for an entire decade, consistently and nothing else; my loyalty was extreme. I agree with other reviewers that say the original SoftFlex formula without the pump or SPF was EVERYTHING I ever wanted in a foundation - smooth, long wearing without transferring or fading, comfortable and looked better as the day went on. IT WAS PERFECT. Now since the formula has changed with the new pump it's runny, isn't smoothing at all,goes on patchy, the coverage is horrible, does not last what so ever and worst of all it breaks me out and makes my skin feel itchy!!! I can't believe they are even calling this the same foundation, because it's completely different to the point that it's ridiculous they're advertising it as the same product and is incredibly misleading. I have no idea who decides these changes, but this one was a massive mistake. My 10 years of loyalty to this product has now ended and NOT by my choice... and so far nothing I've tried has come close to the original SoftFlex formula I loved so completely. I know this is dramatic to say, but I am actually heartbroken over this and I truly hope that by the number of people saying the same thing here and in other forums they will realize the mistake that was made and hopefully go back to the original perfection that was the SoftFlex formula. PLEASE REVLON, I did not want to give up the 10 years of loyalty to your product but you truly made a terrible mistake here!

I can't believe they've discontinued the "Normal Finish" for "Oily/Dry" skin. This new Matye version does not have the same amount of coverage, and comes off much more quickly than the old version. I'm so sad, as this was my absolute favorite foundation. The foundation for Normal/dry skin leaves me so oily by the end of the day. Bring back the old version!

I have used Colorstay since the first launch, when it had super flawless coverage and stay power. I have been using it ever since through all the changes, the softflex was good making it easier to apply. These newest changes are horrible, watery, streaky, lack of coverage, lack of stay power, aging, cracking, creasing. The dry skin formula does not hydrate at all in fact both formulations suck the life out of the skin. Why don't you tell us when you make a change? deceiving. This is NO LONGER COLORSTAY, it should have a different name on it as the original formulation is completely destroyed at this point. So disappointed. I have spend a fortune on cosmetics and skincare trying to find a new routine that works. Brutal Revlon.
