My daughter (7 years old) is a Barbie fanatic and could not wait to find out which surprise doll was hidden in the magic reveal container. The packaging of the item is bright and fun and immediately drew her attention. The instructions were clear and she could easily open and complete the steps herself. She added water to the container and then added the purple coated doll. After gently shaking the container, she was thrilled to see the beautiful Barbie revealed underneath as the purple melted away. The quality of the toy was great and she has continued playing with it, especially at bath time. We cannot wait to keep collecting the rest of the dolls. Thanks to Mattel!

I almost didn't realize that it came with a teeny tiny stuffed animal because it was so small I missed it in the plastic packaging. The animal mask is a silicone type material and squishy, the rest is hard plastic. Very cute as long as your kid is well past the age of putting things in their mouth.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product was used with a 5.5 year old female. She really liked the barbie inside but was not a fan of the "purple thing" and the "stick thing". Playtime lasted under 10 minutes. I think its too small to play with. It seems to be more of a collectible to place on a shelf.

We opened it together and it kept their attention for a few minutes but they lost interest pretty quickly. I think they may have been more interested if they had one of the mini BarbieLand playsets too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Package was easy to open. My daughter (4) was instantly excited to see Barbie packaging and a lipstick. It's a good size for her to use for make believe with it. She was even more excited to see the miniature Barbie inside and for a little bit took her in and out and spun her around the tube. Once she was done with that she took the Barbie out and sat it on a little toy bed that's been next to her ever since. I would purchase this as a stocking stuffer or a small treat for good behavior when running errands but don't really see her enjoying it for a long time

You can't turn the head or raise the arms. The pet doesn't stand to well and is actually really small and will get lost.

As a stand alone product, this is a super fun collectable. The detailing and quality control on these is stunning, something I hope and expect from Mattel. As for play, I do strongly recommend investing in the playsets to go along with them, as they are parallel to Poly Pockets. Perhaps it's the fact I grew up playing with Poly's that has me so fixated on these - but the moment my store got them in I bought a bunch. I gave this a 5/5 when solely looking at the product from a collectors perspective. It's high quality with an excellent paint job, fun, easy to store, and has pretend play elements with the lipstick packaging. My only wish is that Mattel remove the plastic window on the product and perhaps made it a little box similar to their Monster High furniture sets, as after opening 11 of these I had quite the pile of plastic.
