I am 85 years old and used yourcake liner and was devastated to find that it was discontinues. I purchased the new Cavier Tightline butdo not like it as well. I will be searching for another brand that makes cake liner

The new casing for this eye pencil is ridiculously difficult to sharpen and results in a lot of wasted product and hand discomfort. I support environmentally conscious solutions whenever possible, and commend the company for exploring this material, but sadly, it is much too hard for the sharpener provider and requires a significant amount of hand strength. I used the old version of this product (the one with the silver outside) for many years and loved it. I have purchased a few of the new pencils (with the black barrel) and they're all the same--very, very hard to sharpen. I won't be purchasing any more unless the company can find a more suitable material that sharpens easily.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like the smooth texture while applying. As I age, eyeliner that doesn't drag is critical. This goes on beautifully and, while it does smudge under my eyes by the end of the day, it's no more than most liners. I would buy again and try other colors.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had really hoped this would be as smooth to apply as the cake eyeliner you previously offered. However, it was not. It's thick, no matter how carefully you try to apply it. It creates a heavier eyeliner appearance than the tightline did; it makes my eyes look "over-done", which at my age (70) is not a good look. Why not bring back the tightline eyeliner so many of us loved?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so sad the Tightline Cake Eyeliner was discontinued, then I tried this and it's even better. It goes on SO SMOOTHLY. I have never been a fan of gel pencils but this is the best. I have oily skin/lids and this has stayed put with no smudges, which I am really blown away by. Highly highly recommend.

I liked your cake eyeliner but I don't see it here any more, so I tried this product. I don't care for the messy way it goes on, but more importantly, when I had used it down some, there was no sharpener. I didn't know it didn't come with a way to continue using it. I'm not buying a freaking sharpener, too. So, Mercier, out. Chanel, in. Better products which last much longer and in the long run look better and are more cost effective. You should put a sharpener in with the pencil that needs one. Don't be so cheap and shameful.

I have been a devoted tight line user since 2003. This stick does not compare. I have to sharpen it every day, it is so difficult to use to make a smooth line on my upper water line, and it bleeds everywhere. By noon I have raccoon eyes. And after that it is hard to get off even with make up remover. This is a disaster. I loved the old tight line in the little container. It never bled. It was easy to get off with make up Remover and if it did wear off it didn't end up all over my face. Please bring the old version back. I have used this stick for 3 days and specifically skipped days if I was afraid of raccoon eyes. I can't keep using this. I am already starting my hunt for a different brand and am very sad after being dedicated to Laura mercier for over 20 years.

Company specifically recommends sharpening every day, and I can't sharpen it well with any of my collection of sharpeners, nor did they include one that works!?! I am buying this to substitute for LM's discontinued kohl pencil which I loved for decades--and which came with its own sharpener in every box. C'mon LM! Unacceptable. (PS, when you fix this, you need to send at no cost to everyone who complained here the tool we need to use what we purchased!)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The caviar eyeliner in cocoa is the perfect color for my eyes and it goes in very smooth and blends if needed. However, it does smudge below the eye as the day or night goes on. I have yet to find an eyeliner that doesn't and I have tried so many so for now I will stay with this one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's amazing but desperately needs a sharpener. No regular make up sharpener works. I was told to get a regular pencil sharpener. I did, at first it seem better, but now it works like the make up sharpeners. You waste a lot of pencil, trying to sharpen it, and then you get the sharp points of the word of the pencil when you go to line your eyes. There Hass to be something better.
