There is no irritating smell, hair is very shiny afterwards and feels very silky. I had lighter colour so was a bit worried that it could be too light for me but it turned out perfectly. Really have nothing bad to say I had good experience

I have used Clairol Nice n Easy in the past but switched to another brand as I did not like the results. But you have won me back! The wonderful smell of spring and the smooth texture of the processing lotion is absolutely wonderful. The color I got is just what I wanted. Thanks for the great improvement!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just tried the new and improved Clairol Nice n' Easy permanent hair colour in 8 Medium Blonde shade. I was interested to see how this would perform given it promises to cover all grey. Challenge accepted Clairol. I have a cool ash light blonde below shoulder straight fine hair. I am late 40s and have been using permanent hair colour since my late 30s to cover white hair at the widows' peak. The medium blonde shade is pinkier than my natural colour and one shade darker. In the box you get one bottle of hair colourant marked 1, one tube of hair colourant marked 2, one 57ml tube of colourseal conditioner marked 3, an instruction leaflet and a pair of plastic gloves. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. Clairol recommend you carry out an allergy test and strand test before use which I did. You have to first mix a small quantity, in each equal measures, of bottle 1 and tube 2 together. I used one teaspoon of each in a small plastic bowl mixed with a wooden stick. You are then instructed to get a cotton wool ball, dip it in the mixture and apply to the inside bend of your elbow and leave 48 hours without washing off. I also put a little on the tip of my hair to do the strand test and was happy with the colour and texture after washing. I am sure you could snip a small section of your hair to strand test if you are using a shade different from your own colour. In order to use the product you squeeze the tube marked 2 into the funnel shaped bottle marked 1. You shake the bottle 1 and remove the top to apply. The product is not too runny and not too thick which assists with even coverage. I paid special attention to the platinum white hair areas by combing through. The product is quite pleasant smelling and not overly ammonia like some other products. The gloves are okay to use but I suspect will be quite small for some people's hands. There are a number of ways of applying the product depending on if you are using to touch up roots or colour for the first time. There is also additional time recommended for those with resistant grey hair and those using the ultra blonde shades. I had not coloured my hair for 5 weeks so opted for the first time all over colour. I first applied in sections to my roots and then applied the remaining of the product through the rest of my hair using a comb. There was just enough product to cover my hair although I suspect I would have to purchase two packs to get a full and even coverage. I left the product on for around 27 minutes. If says leave on for 25 minutes for first time colour and a further 10 minutes for resistant. My hair was quite tangly at first when washing out and shampooing. The colourseal conditioner detangled and softened my hair and was quite pleasant smelling. The overall colour was lovely and natural looking although it did not cover all of the white. I would probably buy two packs next time and leave on for the additional time recommended as this may ensure total coverage. I have now had the colour on for two weeks and it has not faded or dulled. My hair is still soft in good condition. The colour does blend with natural highlights and lowlights and has a shiny multi layer look rather than a dull solid look. Overall I would recommend this product although I would opt for a lighter shade next time.

I don't know what people are complaining about. I just applied the New Formula of Nice n Easy. I love the new lighter scent. The Medium Brown color is great and in fact, may even have covered my greys better than the old formula. Left my hair soft and shiny. THE BEST PART is that it no longer contains some of the harmful chemicals present in the old formula. Now to see how it lasts through shampoos. Will find out.

I bought this a month ago. I had an overall good experience. I automatically compared it to the other brand that I use every one and a half months. Application is easy and simple. The outcome is great and didn’t have any issues. I use dark brown, it gave good coverage to the roots and the hair looks healthy and lustrous.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love colouring my hair (a lot) so was excited to use Clairol Nice'n Easy 4G Dark Golden Brown. I opened the box, popped on the gloves provided & did a test patch to make sure all was well. All was, so applied all over head & waited for time stated as in leaflet. The mixture was a nice creamy texture that was meant to be non drip, however I had a couple of escaping droplets - 1 being on the skin, 1 on the dreaded bathroom floor. It was a stubborn stain & took some shifting with mould spray on the floor. I rinsed hair after leaving the mixture on, for me, the water took ages to run clear but got there in the end. Applying the conditioner was fine, it's good, smells nice & leaves hair soft. The hair dye itself was supposed to smell "fruity", just smelt like a normal hair dye. Overall the colour is ok just dark brown though, no golden tones. Not the best hair dye but not the worst - at least it covered the greys for the festive / New Year period :) I would recommend if you like dark brown colours. Myself, I would use this hair dye again but choose a different colour. Miss the gold tones.

It has a pleasant floral scent, and the creamy texture makes the application process easier. The creme portion also helps to condition your hair. I experienced no irritation during, or after use.

Thank you for the opportunity to try this hair color. I used the medium brown shade and it covered my greys perfectly. The formula is gentle enough so it didn’t cause any reaction to my sensitive scalp. The creamy, no drip texture was also great! I highly recommend this product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice and easy to apply good creamy texture that didn’t drip all over the place,as per other home dyes I’ve used.after leaving for the appropriate time washed off and applied the conditioner which had a lovely smell.now time to dry my hair and see the results did it cover all the grey roots, yes it did and was a great colour too. Saved me a trip to my hairdresser saving me pounds.would definitely recommend to friends and family.
